CTE Clubs and Organizations
CTE clubs are an excellent way to gain additional knowledge about careers, network with other students, learn leadership skills, and complete on a regional, state, or national level against other CTE students. Several Grimsley programs offer students the opportunity to join CTE clubs.
DECA is an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service. DECA helps students to develop skills for successful business careers, build self-esteem, experience leadership and practice community service. DECA members create friendships with like-minded people from all over the world at career and leadership conferences and build resumes that move them to the top of the job and college application list. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a nonprofit education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The association has four divisions: high school, m iddle school, Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for postsecondary students; and a Professional Division for businesspeople, FBLA-PBL alumni, educators, and parents who support the goals of the association. Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA) is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. See Mrs. Stewart for more information.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. We help each student excel. SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 students and instructors annually. The organization has 13,000 school chapters in 54 state and territorial associations.
